From Academic Innovation to Industrial Application: Challenges and Solutions for Seamless Collaboration in Cell and Gene Therapy Products Development
The purpose of the seminar is to explore how research from academia can be smoothly transitioned to companies and lead to practical application in the field of Cell and Gene Therapy Products. The importance of reverse translational research, the optimal form of medical-industrial collaboration, and insights into overseas manufacturing-related education programs will be shared. In addition, the focus will be on the efforts of supporting industries in Cell and Gene Therapy Products and the importance of the manufacturing process in the early stages of development from the perspective of CDMO. Finally, through a panel discussion with all speakers, we will discuss how to effectively bridge the gap between academia and industry in regenerative medicine development.

Envisioning the Future of Regenerative Medicine: Strategic Approaches and Sustainable Solutions
Regenerative medicine requires innovative product development and a transformation of traditional manufacturing processes to ensure its sustainable delivery. This seminar will explore strategic approaches, including initiatives by the Japanese government and presidential orders from the United States, to envision the future of regenerative medicine. We will examine the necessity of regenerative medicine from an academic perspective, assess the current state of development, and discuss the challenges and future directions faced by industry organizations at various stages of industrialization. Finally, each speaker will propose concrete strategies and solutions through panel discussions to sustainably deliver regenerative medicine. The seminar aims to provide a multifaceted forum for shaping the future of regenerative medicine.
